This Agreement governs your purchase of any software module ("the Software") from Boutique Shop Modules — the updates, support and licence key you are paying for.
⚠ Read this first. The Software's source code is licensed under the Academic Free License version 3.0 (AFL-3.0), the open-source licence PrestaShop requires for modules and themes (Marketplace seller T&Cs, Art. 5.1). AFL-3.0 grants you the right to use, modify and redistribute the code. This Agreement does not, and cannot, take those rights away. What you buy from us is the product relationship: updates, support and a licence key — not a restriction on the code. Where this Agreement and AFL-3.0 conflict, AFL-3.0 wins.
1. Licence grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to install and use the Software on any store you own or operate, with no limit on the number of stores, for as long as you comply with this Agreement.
This includes PrestaShop multistore: our modules declare full multistore compatibility, so every store in your installation is covered by the one licence. You do not need a separate licence per store.
2. What this Agreement does and does not restrict
Your rights in the code come from AFL-3.0, which permits use, modification and redistribution. This Agreement does not narrow them. Two obligations do come from AFL-3.0 itself, and we restate them here because they matter:
- Attribution (AFL §6). You must keep every copyright, patent, trademark and licence notice in the source, and any modified copy you distribute must carry a prominent notice saying you modified it.
- Names and marks (AFL §4). The licence grants you no right to our name, logo or trademarks, and you may not use them to endorse or promote anything derived from the Software.
Separately, and by contract rather than by copyright: your licence key, updates and support are personal to your purchase and are not transferable or shareable. Modifications you make are unsupported.
3. Ownership
We remain the copyright holder. AFL-3.0 is a licence, not a transfer of ownership, and it is permissive rather than copyleft: you may build on the Software without being obliged to open your own work. Being the copyright holder, we may also license the same code to others on different terms.
4. Your API key & third-party AI (AI Copywriter)
Where the Software uses AI, it operates with your own third-party API key (e.g. Anthropic). You are responsible for that key, your usage costs, and compliance with the provider's terms. We add no markup and make no AI calls on your behalf beyond what you trigger.
5. Updates & support
The answer depends on where you bought it, because the two channels are not ours to make identical — one of them is governed by PrestaShop's own marketplace rules.
- Bought direct from
boutiqueshop-modules.com: your purchase includes updates and support for the life of the product, at no further charge and with no subscription. Support is via info@boutiqueshop-modules.com, acknowledged within 1 working day (Monday–Friday). - Bought on the PrestaShop Addons marketplace: updates and support there run under PrestaShop's mandatory Business Care — 12 months from purchase, renewable through your Addons account on PrestaShop's terms and at PrestaShop's price, not ours. Support runs through the Addons messaging in your account, on the same one-working-day acknowledgement.
In both cases the Software itself remains yours to use under the licence above for as long as you comply with this Agreement. Support and updates ending never revokes your right to keep running what you already have — and your AFL-3.0 rights in the code are untouched either way (see §8).
6. Warranty disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties. We do not warrant it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose beyond its described function. This does not exclude mandatory consumer warranties where they apply.
6a. Decision-support only — no warranty of profitability (Dropship Autopilot)
Where the Software analyses supplier catalogs, scores products, suggests prices or prepares listings, it is a decision-support tool. Its filters and AI verdicts measure supply-side fitness (margin, price band, brand anchor, saturation, stock, shipping) — they do not measure customer demand and are not a prediction that any product will sell.
You remain solely responsible for every purchasing, pricing, listing and publishing decision, and for verifying supplier data before relying on it. We give no warranty of profitability, sales, margin or business outcome, and no liability for trading losses, unsold stock, supplier pricing errors, or advertising spend.
Regulatory responsibility is yours. Selling goods that ship from outside the EU can make you the importer and EU responsible person under the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), with duties including risk assessment, technical documentation, product labelling and incident reporting — plus product-liability exposure. The Software may flag this, but flagging is a convenience, not legal advice and not a compliance guarantee. Take your own advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Software is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g. lost sales, data loss) — so keep backups before installing any module. Liability for intent or gross negligence, and any mandatory statutory liability, is not excluded.
8. Term & termination
Your updates, support and licence key last until terminated, and end if you breach this Agreement. Your AFL-3.0 rights in the code are separate: they run for the duration of the copyright and end only on the grounds AFL-3.0 itself sets out (its §9 and §10). We cannot terminate them through this Agreement, and this section does not attempt to.
9. Governing law
Governed by Dutch law; mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. Disputes: we try to resolve directly first (info@boutiqueshop-modules.com).
